I believe that Yoga is for everyone.

When someone says to me, “I can’t do yoga, I am not flexible enough.”  I want to take them by the hand, lead them to the mat and say, “Yes, you can!”

Yoga is so much more than a form of exercise. Yes, the physical bodywork helps to strengthen, re-align, heal and improve mobility and flexibility.

However, it is the use of Breath work, Meditation and Relaxation combined with this physical practice that is the key as to why Yoga is so awesome.

The meaning of the word YOGA is Union. When I teach my clients, I am working to help them find and create balance in both their body and mind.

It doesn’t matter if you can’t get down onto a mat. It doesn’t matter if you can’t see your toes let alone touch them!

It doesn’t matter where you are starting from, I want to help you find a way to practise Yoga that feels right for you.

The practice of yoga can be life changing let me show you how.

The hummingbird holds special significance for me due to its beauty, symbolism, and mythological connections.

In Native American cultures, it’s seen as a healer, light bringer, and Spirit’s helper, carrying luck, joy, and love.

The hummingbird’s hovering, depicted in a figure-eight pattern, symbolises infinity.

It teaches us to transcend time, heal the past, and centre our awareness in the present.

Their lightness serves as a reminder to let go of doubt, fear, and worry

– allowing our spirits to hover and soar, following the path of joy to fulfilment.

This resonates with me and perfectly describes the practice of yoga.

Yoga teaches us how to release burdens that keep us stuck and prevent us from finding long-term happiness, helps us to remove holding patterns that can lead our bodies to become imbalanced and, most importantly, allows us to become the very best version of ourselves.

I thoroughly enjoyed the class and feel still and relaxed now (not how I felt at the beginning!)
The class had a nice flow – I particularly liked the Sun Salutation Sequence.
All well explained, including optional poses.
